I loved Reijirou’s gadgets. While it has decent camerawork, practical effects and soundtrack although one song gets repeated too much , Hiroku the Goblin feels lacking in nearly every other area, especially character development and pacing. Together, with limited tools and strained nerves, the guys attempt to face the demon and trap it back where it came from before it can release the others. The special effects in this film are incredible, and the best part about it is it never feels like they are showing off. Why did Masao Yabe have appearance and functional resemblances to his ancestor? That plot description probably sounds a lot more vague than it would have to, but in addition to the film being a bit confusing, I have to be careful to not give too much away.

I had to tell someone. Furthermore this movie features visuals that could be to be straight out of Hausuwhile also maintaining the familiar “early 90s Japanese horror shocker” look that everybody loves. Reiko is fascinating despite the fact we barely get to know her before she becomes a singing spider head.
It is a totally worthwhile watch for anyone who loves practical effects, weird body horror, and a little goofiness mixed with the gore. The move plot allows for the movie to focus more on the sfx aspect and character development, which this excels at both.
If you like weirdness, and you don’t mind a bit of derivativeness and confusion, you’ll love Hiruko the Goblin. I liked the humor. The Iron Man creates a goblln blast of originality that perfectly mixes horror with more campy elements. I loved the almost corny well, maybe it just was corny final scenes, one of which seemed like maybe Richard Kelly kinda stole it gobblin Donnie Darko I especially liked the motion shots done movvie the goblin’s point of view, complete with the creature breathing heavily from exertion.
Congratulations, it’s a Japanese B-movie! And it’s a fun one too with hlruko legion of heads with spiderlegs trying to escape their tomb. But that’s not quite right, either, because a film could aim to suck, and if it does suck, we’d then have to say that it kicks butt. Sequel to “Tetsuo” this time has the Iron Man transforming into cyberkinetic gun when a gang of vicious skinheads kidnap his son.
